Description The Better Mood Clinic of South Georgia, LLC is seeking experienced Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Marital and Family Therapists and Licensed Professional Counselors to join our practice as independent contractors.  You will need to be licensed as an LCSW, LMFT or LPC in the state of Georgia.  Preferably empaneled with major state insurance companies.  As an independent contractor you will be responsible for providing mental health and behavioral health counseling and treatment, psychotherapy, and/or assessments and evaluation services for the benefit of the Better Mood Clinic of South Georgia patients. Though we work as a team in providing an array of integrated mental health and behavioral health services, you will need to be independent in your abilities to diagnose and write independent treatment plans. It is essential that you have exceptional interpersonal skills, judgment and diligence to engender our patient’s trust that will allow you to address, treat and resolve our patients most personal mental health concerns.  Equally imperative, you must be empathic and engaged through the duration of every patient’s care.

Responsibilities/Duties

v Complete intake assessments to determine patient’s mental or behavioral health needs

v Develop and implement treatment plans based on the patient’s identified needs

v Be knowledgeable of the latest treatment methods to provide optimal care for our patients

v Make appropriate referrals to identified medical and mental health providers

v Complete written documentation of all assessments counseling sessions, and interventions

v Maintain appropriate documentation of clinical care, including all billing information

v Complete case management activities on all your patients

v Complete administrative tasks such as letters and reports that is indicated for optimum patient care

Qualifications

v Masters degree in psychology, social work or marital and family counseling

v 3-5 years post graduate training and licensure

v Licensed in the State of Georgia

v Must have independent Professional Liability Insurance

v Excellent verbal communication skills

v Culturally and racially competent in delivering genuine treatment

v Strong community orientation

v Empathic, sensitive, and driven to foster healing

  • Establishes a medical plan intended to assist the client to reach or maintain mutually acceptable goals.
