Who are we?

The Better Mood Clinic (BMC) of South Georgia, LLC is a full-service mental health and behavioral health clinic.  BMC provides services to individuals struggling with social, educational, individual, marital or family problems, and/or psychiatric or mental health concerns.  The individual’s spirituality is key and part of the holistic approach.  Services cross the continuum of care from self-help support, psycho-education, various  therapies, to psychiatry and medical management.  Services are integrated and coordinated with the individual or family’s primary care providers to   reduce duplication of services.  BMC’s goal is to  provide a seamless system of care to enhance an individual’s or family’s level of mental health functioning and ultimately their quality of life.

To provide state-of-the art psychiatric, family practice, social work, psychological intervention, outreach, wellness and treatment services to individuals within the greater Lowndes County area.

Our Vision

To build and enhance a mentally healthy and resilient community through its programs and services.  An integrated network of services and service providers build an alliance of treatment providers and service agencies within and outside the medical, mental health, educational and support groups in this community to best match the individual and/or family’s needs with the appropriate  resources.  These services as indicated are coordinated and integrated with a team of multidisciplinary treatment professionals.  These resources include but are not limited to the following:  chaplains, priests and ministers, Department of Children Family Services personnel, behavioral health services personnel, school and educational personnel, Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), multi-clinical diagnostic services, legal, inpatient and outpatient mental health services.
