Anxiety is a physical, behavioral, and psychological feeling of uneasiness. Usually an internal, often vague feeling you are losing control or in danger.

  • Acknowledge and recognize your anxiety symptoms (physically, emotionally and behaviorally).
  • Identify the sources of your anxiety when able.
  • Learn and practice relaxation exercises … take time off.
  • Deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation.
  • Set realistic goals, something you can reach.
  • Adjust beliefs. Example: I’ll do my best versus be perfect.
  • Heart racing = Heart is functioning versus, I’m dying.
  • Utilize positive self-talk, such as, “I’m going to be okay”.
  • Exercise daily, at least 20 minutes, 30 minutes is better.
